RIIFF 2009 Team

Adam M. K. Short

Adam Short, Producing Director, started as a volunteer with RIIFF in 2003. Over the next few years, in addition to his work on the film festival, he helped to organize a number of Flickers' projects including The Merci Train Exhibit at the Woonsocket Museum of Work and Culture and the Creative Impulse Awards. He created the Roving Eye Documentary Film Festival and the Golden Jasmine Chinese Film Festival. As a grant writer, he has successfully raised over $200,000 to fund various educational and artistic programs. Prior to his involvement with RIIFF, he was an editor / publisher/writer of a technology newsletter, a layout artist for the Armenian Historical Society, a public middle school English teacher, an adult ESL instructor, and an Information Architect- though not necessarily all at the same time. He holds a BA in Literature from Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He is now working on his MBA at Bryant University in North Smithfield, RI.

Adam married Alyssa Holland in September 2007.
