Ron Tippe

RIIFF Producing Director

 

ronTRon Tippe has worked in the entertainment business for the last 36 years. In that period, he has directed 52 stage plays, 100 commercials and dozens of education and business related films. In addition he has spent the last 15 years as a Feature Animation Producer for DreamWorks Animation (SHREK – Pre-Production), WB Feature Animation (SPACE JAM), George Lucas’s Industrial Light and Magic (FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLFMAN – Pre-Production), Walt Disney Feature Animation (RUNAWAY BRAIN – Oscar nominated short), IDT Feature Animation (EVERYONE’S HERO) and most recently, Imagi Entertainment’s (GATCHAMAN – Pre-Production).  In addition, he managed the Paris, France Animation studio for Walt Disney Animation.

 

Ron has also produced record albums in addition to being an accomplished musician and the owner of QT Music (ASCAP) and Barn Boy Music (ASCAP) publishing companies. 

 

In 2008, Ron branched out and became a Certified Creative Empowerment Coach specializing in creativity and personal biography. An alumnus of Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, (BA Theatre) and the University of Illinois (MA Theatre), he was a Visiting Professor of Communications in 2008 where he helped co-produce and create the Roving Eye Film Festival with George Marshall. Ron currently teaches at Emerson College in Boston.

 

He is married to Hollywood Costume Designer, Molly Maginnis. They have two children, Annie and Sam Tippe
