Meet and speak with this year’s visiting filmmakers and special guests, at an exclusive dinner party.

Tickets are $100 and includes the entire evening of RIIFF events listed below:
The Marquee Room of the Providence Performing Arts Center will sparkle with international filmmaking stars on the rise at RIIFF’s 12th Official Presidential Reception. Joined by an undoubtedly “Cheery” MC for the evening, John Ratzenberger (Cliff from Cheers), the night promises to exude energy and media artistry. A musical accompaniment by Lois Vaughan Jazz Duo Music will add to the creative flow of the night. Delicious catering by Just Ellen’s Catering & Event Planning will also be provided. Presidential tickets are available to the public for $100 dollars per person on a limited basis and will provide access to all opening night events and parties. The Official Presidential Reception is a “must attend” event of the festival because it is reserved specifically for filmmakers, sponsors, press, visiting celebrities, and special guests. This exclusive dinner party allows guests to meet and greet this year’s visiting filmmakers and special guests. A limited number of tickets for this event are available.

FILM FESTIVAL SCREENING PRESENTATION

Salute to the Art of the Short Film

Tickets are $20
The film screenings will begin at 7 PM in the Providence Performing Arts Center’s main theatre which is host to 3,300 seats.  With ten brilliant shorts from all over the globe, audiences are destined to be delighted with the imagination that makes this festival shine.  Admission to this event is $20 per person. The Rhode Island International Film Festival is the only New England Festival that serves as a qualifier for the Short Film Academy Award and will once again open this year’s Festival with a showcase of some of the finest examples of international cinematic shorts. Many of the shorts are World and U.S. premieres. Special support for this presentation is courtesy of HB Communications and Sony Corporation.

CELEBRATION 12: RIIFF OPENING GALA

Tickets are $40

Finally, the evening is topped off with RIIFF’s Gala Celebration. This post premiere party will be held in the lobby area and mezzanine of PPAC. This event is $40 per person and will begin immediately following the screening and continue until 11 PM. Guests will enjoy a night of food and festivities, all with an international flavor as RIIFF will be paying tribute to visiting filmmakers from around the globe. A taste of Providence’s fabulous restaurants including Aspire, Atomic Catering, Dave’s Marketplace Catering, Decadent Catering, GaGa Sherbetta, Local Hero Catering, Nick’s on Broadway, Pizza Pie-er will be featured and enjoyed throughout the evening. Beverage sponsors include UFO Hefeweizen Beer by Harpoon Brewery and Skyy Vodka.
