2018 Marks the 36thYear of the Flickers Arts Collaborative...

The next edition of the Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival™ (RIIFF), takes place August 7-12, 2018. Screening more than 300 films and videos over six days, the Festival will be a visual and auditory feast for film enthusiasts and moviegoers alike. The largest, most prestigious and one of the fastest growing film festivals in the New England region, FLICKERS will be hosted in the historic city of Providence and select films will be screened throughout the state of Rhode Island at festival partner locations.

The Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival™ [a 501c(3) non-profit] presents year-round programming that celebrates the culture and art of the moving image through filmmaking and film-going experiences.

HP Lovecraft

Literary Walking Tour

$19

tktJoin us for this wonderful tour presented by the RI Historical Society

One of our most popular events returns: College Hill gets especially eerie around this time each year, when the Rhode Island Historical Society celebrates the birthday of H.P. Lovecraft. This would have been his 124th year, and his macabre stories are no less chilling for their age: See the spots that inspired Lovecraft to write some of his most horrific tales. Walk the streets he walked, and check out places that he mentioned in works such as "The Call of Cthulhu." Ticket includes admission to the closing program of the Vortex Film Festival. The tour lasts 90 min.

Tour Location: John Brown House, 52 Power Street, Providence, RI at noon (both days)

Time: The tour will take place October 21 & 22nd, 2017

Cost: $19.00; Bring your eTicket with you to the Tour and Film Screening
