Every year, RIIFF hosts hundreds of filmmakers from
around the world:
Italy, Spain, England, Germany, The Netherlands,
Scotland, France, Australia, China, Japan, India, Brazil,
Mexico, Argentina, Canada, Thailand, Russia, Czech Republic,
and Israel (and from throughout the US).
Most of these filmmakers are just beginning their career
path and many will come to the US for the first time
when their film premieres at RIIFF.
In order to show friendship and
true American hospitality we have found that area hosts
make for the best ambassadors. At a time when international
relations are at a critical point, it is our belief
that the best way to create understanding is to communicate
and share our culture with artists from other lands.
